Fantastic performance. He's just such a joy to watch, everything he does is hallmarked with wonderful touch, vision and intelligence.
I hope he keeps it up and is the outstanding player of the tournament. If 'big' clubs come calling so be it. At the moment everyone knows who Dimitri Payet is and who he plays for. It can only help us attract better players, which in turn is more likely to make him stay, and it does the standing of the club generally no end of good.

I think it's as you say Ludo. Not about Sullivan wanting to cash in...but there are certain clubs I doubt Dimi would want to turn down. He's got a few years left, no real club honours to my knowledge, and is one of the form players in world football right now.
There's a few clubs (Barca, Real Madrid, PSG, Juve, Bayern Munich, etc) that I doubt any of us would really expect us to see him turn down.
If it happens, just hope it's not to another English side. In a team full of players supposedly worth 50m bracket in attack, our 10m bargain made them all look a bit average. As he did to Sterling, Silva, De Bruyne etc when City played at Upton Park. It's his end product which is just so astonishing.
Guessing we might get a last hurrah out of him in August...but starting to think won't be with us when the window closes...mostly because why would he be. We're an upper mid table side and on current form he'd grace any team in the world.

Just don't sell him.... if he has his head turned and asks to go then fair enough but I hope Sullivan doesn't come out and say his price has gone up to £60m, because someone will pay it.

I loved that reception when he was subbed right at the end, one of the warmest I've ever heard in those circumstances. He looked taken aback by it.

The only thing I'd say about PSG is you have to wonder why they haven't snapped him up earlier, as he will not have been a secret to them of all clubs. Available for £10mil at 28 and they didn't sign him, knowing full well what he's capable of as he had been France's leading stats man for a few years.
He's staying. Trust I.

Capitol Man.... Hopefully with the shift in money available in the Premier League now he will stay and West Ham with their push for extra international merchandising (including London !) will make full use of this extraordinary asset .... Fingers crossed !

As crazy as it sounds barca don't need him and he's too old for Madrid and any of the English to spend that kind of money on, I can't see him going to Italy so that leaves PSG who have the serious money and motive to bring France's best player home, that's the club I fear might take him off of our hands.

If he carries on like this Real or Barca will almost have to scoop him up as they always do with the best player from the big tournaments - they appear to do it for the shirt and merchandising deals as much as anything else.
